El 28 de Noviembre es el cumple de

Pier Giorgio Sclarandis, fotógrafo italiano nacido en 1939 en Turín.
Comenzó su carrera fotográfica en 1963. Durante tres años trabajó en la oficina de iconografía de una editorial establecida, UTET, y en 1967 lo dejó para abrir su propio estudio fotográfico.

En 1970 se trasladó a Nueva York por un breve período, fotografiando las obras arquitectónicas de gente como Norman Jaffe, Siguard Johnson y Myron Goldfinger. Piergiorgio ha realizado narraciones fotográficas para una serie de publicaciones importantes en los Estados Unidos y Europa. Especializado en fotografía industrial, arquitectónica y corporativa, ha publicado más de treinta libros desde 1978, y continúa prosperando en el campo.

Piergiorgio captó esta imagen de mujeres trabajando en los campos cerca de Shibam, Yemen. La imagen fue utilizada en un libro de Idea Libri, publicado en Italia en dos ediciones entre 1989 y 1993. Piergiorgio y Pietro Tarallo viajaron por el país y documentaron las ciudades y pueblos, así como la gente y costumbres de Oriente Medio y el Norte de África./
Piergiorgio caputured this image of women working in the fields around Shibam, Yemen. This image was used in a book by Idea Libri, published in 2 Italian editions between 1989 and 1993. Piergiogorio and Pietro Tarallo traveled the country and documented the cities and towns, as well as the people and customs of the Middle East and North Africa.

Kevin Ernest Bubriski, fotógrafo y educador estadounidense nacido en 1954 en North Adams, Massachusetts.

Ha expuesto por todo el mundo. Bubriski, que recibió becas de la Fundación Guggenheim, la Fundación Nacional para las Artes y el Consejo Cultural Asiático, trabajó nueve años en Nepal y ha fotografiado sus viajes a la India, el Tíbet y Bangladesh. Autor de "Retrato de Nepal (Crónica) / Portrait of Nepal (Chronicle)", que ganó el Golden Light Documentary Award en 1993, y Lugares poderosos de Katmandú: Lugares santos hindúes y budistas en el Valle Sagrado de Nepal.
Bubriski vive con su esposa en Vermont.

El 30 de Noviembre, es el cumple de

Felix H. Man (Hans Felix Sigismund Baumann), fotógrafo alemán nacido en 1893, considerado pionero del periodismo fotográfico moderno.
Estudió Historia del arte y Bellas artes en las universidades de Friburgo en Brisgovia, Berlín y Múnich, ya que tuvo que abandonar los estudios durante la primera guerra mundial al estar enrolado en el ejército, donde comenzó a tomar fotografías. Su primer reportaje lo realizó sobre el estado de destrucción de Alsacia y Lorena en esa guerra.

En 1929 entró en la agencia Dephot (Deutscher Photodienst) donde adquirió su nombre artístico «Man», con el que realizó numerosos reportajes por toda Europa siendo el más conocido el titulado «Un día en la vida de Mussolini» hecho en 1931. Su trabajo se desarrolló en mayor medida en las publicaciones Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung y Münchner Illustrierte Presse.

Benito Mussolini en "El Hurgador" / in this blog[Aniversarios (CCLXXVIII)], [Recolección (CXXVI-1)]

Tras el ascenso al poder de Hitler emigró al Reino Unido en mayo de 1934, nacionalizándose británico en 1948. En este país continúo sus colaboraciones con Stefan Lorant y publicó sus trabajos en Daily Mirror, Life y Sunday Times entre otras publicaciones. Cuando en 1948 el Picture Post comenzó a publicar utilizando la fotografía en color fue de los primeros fotógrafos en hacerlo utilizando la película Kodachrome.

También fue escritor y coleccionista publicando en 1953 el libro titulado «150 años de litografías de artistas 1803 - 1953».3 En 1970 prosiguió sus estudios sobre la historia de la litografía publicando el libro «Litografías de artistas. Una historia del mundo desde Senefelder hasta hoy».
En 1965 recibió el premio de cultura de la Asociación Alemana de Fotografía junto a Heinz Hajek-Halke
Murió en 1985.

On November 28 is the birthday of

Pier Giorgio Sclarandis, Italian photographer born in 1939 in Torino. 
He began his photography career in 1963. For 3 years he worked in the iconography office of an established publishing house, UTET and in 1967 left this to pursue opening his own photographic studio. In 1970, he moved to New York City for a brief period, photographing the architectural works of the likes of Norman Jaffe, Siguard Johnson and Myron Goldfinger. Piergiorgio has realized photographic narratives for a number of major publications across the United States and Europe. Specializing in industrial, architectural and corporate photography, Sclarandis has published more than thirty books since 1978, and continues to prosper in the field.

On November 29 is the birthday of

Kevin Ernest Bubriski, American photographer and educator born in 1954 in North Adams, Massachusetts.
He has exhibited worldwide; his work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the International Center of Photography, all in New York; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven; the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson; and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. A recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Asian Cultural Council, Bubriski worked for nine years in Nepal, and has photographed his journeys to India, Tibet, and Bangladesh. Author of Portrait of Nepal (Chronicle), which won the Golden Light Documentary Award in 1993, and Power Places of Kathmandu: Hindu and Buddhist Holy Sites in the Sacred Valley of Nepal.
Bubriski lives in Vermont with his wife.

On November 30 is the birthday of

Felix H. Man (Hans Félix Sigismund Baumann), German photographer born in 1893, considered pioneer of modern photojournalism.
He studied History of Art and Fine Arts in the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Berlin and Munich, since these studies had to leave during the first world war when being enrolled in the army where began to take photographs. His first report was on the state of destruction of Alsace and Lorraine in that war. In 1929, he entered the Dephot (Deutscher Photodienst) agency where he acquired his stage name "El hombre", with which he made many reports throughout Europe. He is best known for his work entitled "A Day in the Life of Mussolini" made in 1931. His work was developed mostly in the Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung and Münchner Illustrierte Presse publications.
After the rise to power of Hitler, he emigrated to the United Kingdom in May of 1934, nationalizing British in 1948. In this country continued his collaborations with Stefan Lorant and published his works in Daily Mirror, Life and Sunday Times among other publications. When in 1948 the Picture Post began to publish using color photography was one of the first photographers in the process of the film Kodachrome.
He was also a writer and collector. In 1953 published the book entitled "150 Years of Artist Lithographs 1803-1953". In 1970 he continued his studies on the history of literature published in the book «Lithographies of Artists. A history of the world from Senefelder to today ".
In 1965 he received the culture prize of the German Photography Association along with Heinz Hajek-Halke.
He died in 1985.
